Open Call: Unlimited Board members

We’re looking for approximately four people to join our board to lead Unlimited with its mission.

This is a great opportunity to diversify our board (meet the current team and board here) further to ensure disabled people remain the majority across the governance of the organisation.

We want to ensure a wide range of perspectives are represented and have identified some gaps on our board that we’d love to fill.

Who are we looking for?  

We’ve identified some gaps on our board that we’d love to fill.

We’re looking for people who are: artists, disabled, from the global majority, learning disabled, trans, under 30, over 64 years and Scotland or Wales-based.

We’d also love to have more people on our board with knowledge in the following areas: climate justice, commercial arts sector, disability arts history/sector, formal education, human resources (HR), legal, life affirming organisational practices, transformational governance, wellbeing, access to wealth networks. 

Unlimited wishes to be both supported and challenged so that we can do what we do in the best way possible.

How to apply

If you’d like to join the board, please apply in any way you wish – this could be by video, audio, creating a PowerPoint, writing to us – whatever you prefer.

You can include upto five A4 pages, five minutes of audio or video, or a PowerPoint presentation of 15 slides maximum. You can also apply over Zoom or over the phone – we can take notes that will form your application (we expect this to take no more than 20 minutes).

• What do you think you can offer us and what do you want to gain?  

Once we have your application, we’ll send you an equality of opportunities form and a list of our board gaps – giving you more information on these – so you can tell us which apply to you.
